What I've been building

Some of these are shipping, some are in active development, some are prototypes I keep coming back to. All started with a problem worth solving.

In Progress

AI-assisted situational awareness for the bridge watch.

Sea.Lookout is a concept for an AI-assisted situational awareness system aimed at the navigational watch. It explores how computer vision and lightweight alerting can back up — never replace — the trained human eye on the bridge, helping identify vessels, floating objects, and navigational hazards under practical shipboard conditions.

Budgeting and wage clarity for Filipino workers.

SweldoWise is a budgeting and personal-finance companion built around the realities of Philippine payroll practice — take-home pay, SSS/PhilHealth/HDMF/tax deductions, overtime and night-differential computations — presented so the numbers make sense to the person actually getting paid.

Offline-first inventory and operations for small businesses.

StockPilot is a mobile-first inventory and operations app for small shops. It tracks products, stock movements, and sales entirely on the device, so it keeps working on the shop floor with no connection. Barcode scanning, thermal-printer receipts, and spreadsheet exports turn a phone into a practical point-of-sale and stock-control tool.

On-device document scanner with local OCR and PDF export.

Naviscan is a privacy-first document scanner. Capture a page, clean it up with filters, pull out the text with on-device character recognition, and export to PDF — all without anything leaving the phone. Scans are kept in an encrypted local database, so sensitive paperwork stays under the owner's control.

A global budgeting and savings companion across 17 currencies.

Quenta is a personal-finance tracker built to work anywhere. It handles income and expense tracking, category budgets, savings goals, and clear reporting across 17 currencies, in both light and dark modes. Data syncs through a hosted backend so it stays available across a person's devices.

A no-root personal firewall for Android, fully on-device.

GuardLite is a lightweight personal firewall for Android. It gates the device's network traffic locally through the system VPN service — no root access required, and nothing leaves the phone. Built as a modular Kotlin app, it gives people a clear view of what their apps are talking to. Completely free, distributed as a signed APK.

A fun way to become a faster, more confident typist.

Clavier turns typing practice into a game. Guided lessons build technique step by step, an arcade of typing games keeps practice from getting stale, and head-to-head duels and tournaments add a competitive edge — with detailed stats and leaderboards to track progress over time.

Clavier's typing-practice game, playable in any browser.

Clavier Web is the browser-based counterpart to Clavier — the same guided lessons, arcade of typing games, duels, tournaments, and leaderboards, available anywhere a modern browser runs. Progress and stats follow the typist from machine to machine, so practice picks up wherever it left off.

Prototype

Local LLM Q&A over technical ship manuals.

An on-board assistant that answers questions against vendor manuals, maker instructions, and planned-maintenance procedures without leaving the vessel's network. Runs a local model over indexed PDFs so engineers can query equipment documentation even with no satellite link.

Open to collaborations and technical opportunities.

I take on a small number of engineering and AI projects each year — mostly practical, often maritime-adjacent. Happy to talk if the problem is concrete.
